These Fair Trade Animals are handmade in a community based self-help project in a region of India called Bhopal. The animals are crafted over a wire frame that is covered in rice grass and papier mache to provide the body contours of the animals. It is then sun-dried before sheep and goats leather stretched over the base. The animals are then hand painted and polished to form these stunning and durable life-like animals.
